OXEN Sports are delighted to announce Hull Kingston Rovers will become the first rugby league club to wear UK sportswear brand OXEN Sports as the new Technical Apparel Supplier from 2020.

The club has extended its partnership with Elite Pro Sports to bring you an exciting range of on and off-field merchandise across the next four seasons to coincide with the ‘Rovers Revolution’.

OXEN Sports, one of Elite Pro Sports’ newest brands, work alongside both professional and amateur athletes, providing innovative garments that enhance their athletic potential using the latest in fabric technology. They also partner with UK sports teams to create instantly recognisable kits and garments worn before, during and after games.

Hull KR members will see brand new products in the Fan Experience Zone and at hullkr.co.uk/shop across the coming weeks, and Elite Pro Sports CEO Lee Jenkinson couldn’t be more excited about the new brand’s partnership with the club.

We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Hull Kingston Rovers and we love working with the club. We have a fantastic relationship here and long may that continue
— LEE JENKINSON, CEO AT ELITE PRO SPORTS

“OXEN has been in the working for a while now but the brand is relatively new to the market. To explain, oxen is plural for Ox which means – strong, powerful and hard-working.

“The Celts valued oxen for its virility. When the clan was in trouble, the ox and the bull became symbolic protectors that could improve group wealth.

“We see that as what we do as a business – we impact on our customers and we feel we are in it with them 100 per cent.

“There are some fantastic products in store during 2020 for Hull KR fans. There’s a real unique blend of fabrics and construction methods to ensure that the off-field training wear looks completely different to previous years, and I think that will be noticed by the passionate Rovers fanbase.”

Laura George, Head of Fan Experience, commented: “We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Elite Pro Sports which will see a new brand introduced to our ranges for 2020 and beyond.

“Since launching with Elite Pro Sports ahead of the 2017 season I think we’ve entered a ‘golden era’ for the club in terms of shirt designs, quality and range of products. For me it’s no coincidence that this has resulted in record breaking retail sales, season after season, which we are on course to break again this year.

“We’ve had some real stand-out shirts that supporters have loved, and we’re confident we have raised the bar again for what we have in store with OXEN for 2020.

“We’ve worked really hard during the last year to listen to all the feedback we’ve received from supporters to develop a range of products and designs we think will be really popular. We can’t wait to share them all with fans soon, starting with our official 2020 warm-up tee later this evening.”
